I've recently begun re-watching "The West Wing" (possibly my favourite TV Show of all time) again from the beginning and it reminded me of the Time I had spent in Washington DC last year. I actually took a couple of Nice panoramas of the Whitehouse, and while I posted one of these before, I didn't show you the other one. The funny thing about the Whitehouse is that you think it should be bigger. When you see it on TV and in the movies, it always seems like this massive structure, yet in person it doesn't really look that big. It's still an incredibly beautiful building though. If you look carefully in the first shot you can see the secret service patrolling the roof.
For those interested in the technical details, both were shot with a Nikon D800 and the Nikon 24-120 F4. The processing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop.
Here's one more I took at the other side. It's just a quick and dirty snap shot (and not a Panorama either) I grabbed as we walked by, but you can see the throngs of tourists eager for a glimpse at the world's most famous building.
