The River Liffey, In Cinemascope

The River Liffey, In Cinemascope

Continuing my obsession with creating faux cinemascope formatted stills, here's a few from this weekend on the river Liffey, which is the main river that flows through Dublin city. I shot these with my Canon 5D Mark II and 17-40 Lens. Shooting in ultra wide really helps wight his format, and if you frame it right in-camera, with the expectation of cropping it afterwords, you can get nice straight(ish) verticals! Enjoy! Incidentally, these were all taken as part of my ongoing "Streets of Dublin" project which has really taken off on Facebook. If you haven't seen it already, please stop by the website and have a look! (And follow me if you're on Facebook!)
