Rethinking My Fujifilm Lightroom Recommendations

It’s been a while since I updated my recommendations for Lightroom processing of Fuji files. Since then, Lightroom has been changing quite a bit, and so, while I had planned it before but never got around to it, I’m now in the pre-production stages of re-writing my Fuji Lightroom guide. One of the big things I’m changing is how I recommend people process their Fuji files for the best results.

Capture One Pro 10.1

Yesterday Phase One released a new update to their Capture One Software. Despite being just a point release, it is actually a pretty significant update. It contains a number of very important feature changes. If you’re a Fuji X-Trans shooter, the software also includes some big changes to X-Trans support too. I’ve actually been using the beta version of 10.1 and I’m excited now that it is finally released and I can talk about it. There are three major changes that I want to talk about in this post.

Upcoming E-Book Projects

In keeping with my earlier post today, I wanted to share some of the other projects I'm working on. Specifically in terms of the e-book guides I've published recently. I currently have two guides out for Processing X-Trans files in Lightroom and Capture One respectively. I'm currently working on a third guide as well as some updates.

My Workflow and Settings for Processing Fuji X-Trans Files in Capture One: Part 1

A while ago I had a post about how much I was enjoying the combination of Capture One and Fuji X-Trans files. I wrote about how I really like the way Capture One renders Fuji Raw files, in both terms of details, and colour. I didn’t go into much detail though about some of the settings that I use and how I manage my workflow when working with Capture One. I’ve been wanting to write up a sort of guide to my common settings, and also some workflow tips for each of the various applications that I use, and so, here is the first one.
