Random Acts of Photography - Summer Flowers Edition
It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of my “Random Acts of Photography” posts. As it’s a lovely bank holiday weekend here in Dublin, I thought I’d revive the tradition, and hopefully it will be back as a more regular feature. For those who are new to this blog, Random Acts is a series I used to do, which was basically a set of images, seemingly random, but usually connected by some subject or thread. Instead of a lengthy discussion, the format was generally an introduction followed by a set of images, which were presented without comment. The idea was to do a photographic version of EuroNews’s “No Comment” section.
Anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve done it, and so, with a beautiful sunset out my window as I write this, I feel it only appropriate as we head into Autumn that the first instalment of the new season will be a look back at the beautiful summer that we’ve had this year. Summer in Ireland is usually a hit and miss affair. In the past we’ve had three months of rain, but thankfully the last few two years have given us some great weather. With that weather there are some lovely flowers and foliage throughout the city of Dublin this year, and over the past few months I’ve been taking pictures of the flora throughout the cities parks and walkways. So, without further ado, here’s a look back at some of the flowers found around Dublin City over the months of Summer.
