Over the past few years I've accumulated quite a few different blogs and websites. As with many people in the same situation, I've had the best of intentions with these, promising myself to create my own little blogging empire, but usually they've been neglected after a while, as I've realised that my workflow was to great. Anyway, I've a few that had been going well, but I've neglected lately, and I've begun consolidating them.

The Aperture Blog

The first is the Aperture Blog. I've been running this blog for a long time. It was a site dedicated to Aperture, and since the announcement of Aperture's discontinuation, I didn't really know what to do with it. I had tried a few things but I just couldn't come up with the content. I decided after much should searching, that despite my sentimental attachment to it, there was no point in keeping it going when much of what I would post to it would only be replicated here anyway. So, I've shut it down, and re-directed traffic here. I'm grateful to all the people who helped make it a great site over the years, but unfortunately there's not much point in keeping it going, and to be honest I just don't have the time. I hope that if you've come here from the Aperture Blog, you'll find something here that you'll find interesting.

The Lightroom Diary

I had started this site quite recently, but as has been recently pointed out to me by a reader, the site has been very neglected lately. This is completely true, and my only excuse is that, as I've already pointed out, I had been attempting to do too much lately with several different blogs, and with my day job. I had lost focus, and the Lightroom Diary had been neglected. I had considered shutting it down too and re-directing it to the Lightroom section on this blog, but instead, with Lightroom 6 due soon, I'm going to give it a fresh start and another go.

I've moved the Lightroom Diary over to Squarespace, and It has a nice new simplified design. I've also fixed an issue with the address. It had been rightly pointed out to me, that the domain for the site is a bit confusing, because the title of the site is "The Lightroom Diary" but the URL was just lightroomdiary.com. To clear this up I've now added thelightroomdiary.com too, so either will now work. One thing that may have changed is the RSS feed. If you had been subscribing to the RSS feed, you may need to update your URL. The link is in the sidebar of the website (or click on the above links).

My Photography Blog

As I recently wrote, I'm re-doubling my efforts on this site too. I have a few plans in motion, but the first is one I want to share straight away. I've added an easier to remember domain. I get it that the current one is a bit of a mouthful and a pain to type, so you can now get here by using the much simplified tomfitzphoto.com. It's just a re-direct at the moment, but it's a lot easier to remember!
