Video: Shooting with the SonyA6000 and Adapted Lenses

Video: Shooting with the SonyA6000 and Adapted Lenses

A while ago I attempted my first “blog” style video, where I filmed myself shooting street photography and editing the results. I’ve done another similar video and in this one I spent some time shooting with the Sony A6000 using adapted lenses. I used two different lenses on this shoot: an old Nikon 105mm f2/2.8 macro lens, and a Canon 17-40 f/4 L wide angle lens. I started in a local park shooting some flowers and then did a little bit of street photography too.

I shot this using a go-pro mounted on the camera, as well as some additional footage from my iPhone and through the A6000 too. In the video I discuss a few of the quirks of shooting with adapted lenses on the Sony A6000, and I talk about using focus peaking

I also did a follow up, second part (Which I actually posted first!) to this video where I take the images from the shoot, and go through my process of editing and adjusting the photos in Capture One. You can find that posted below.

Finally, if you want to see some of the actual images that I took on this shoot, here are a few samples of the finished product, processed in Capture One.

If you like these video please give them a thumbs up and subscribe to my youtube channel.
