Video: Enhancing a Cityscape in Luminar 4 Beta
In this video I give you a sneak peak at what it’s like to use Luminar 4 to enhance a cityscape image. Using a photo of the New York City skyline, I show you what it’s like using the new AI Sky replacement filter, and a quick look at the new interface.
It should be noted that in this video I’m using a beta version of Luminar 4 and so the interface and features are still subject to change and there may be some differences in the final version. This is also just a quick overview and I will go into more details in the coming weeks.
Incidentally, someone pointed out in the YouTube comments that the lighting direction doesn’t match the sky, but there is an option to flip the sky for such situations. (I didn’t notice when I was recording the video)
Here’s the finished image from the video, as well as the original un-edited version.
If you have any questions about the software, please let me know in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer, either here or in a future post. Luminar 4 is available to pre-order now with a special pre-order discount that is ending soon.

Help Support the Blog
This blog is pretty much my day job now and I work to bring you my own take on photography, both tutorials and tips, as well as inspiration from my own art. Running all this isn’t cheap, and so If you like what you see and you want to help keep this all going, I support this work, and my YouTube channel entirely either via sales of my eBooks and Lightroom presets, or the kind support of my readers. (I also have some affiliate ads).
