Oct 8 Fujifilm Rumoured to Be Developing a Camera with New Sensor Size: Full-Frame on the Horizon?

Our old friends at Fuji Rumors haver caused quite a bit of a stir in the Fuji community with a recent rumour about a new camera that Fujifilm is working on. According to the rumour, the camera which probably won’t be released until 2025 will have a new sensor that is of a different size to one that Fujifilm has used before! As you can imagine this has caused rampant speculation on various social sites. The leading candidate for this “sensor size that Fujifilm hasn’t used before” is Full Frame. But if this came true it would upend years of Fuji insisting that Full Frame isn’t something they want to do.

Jul 8 Why I believe that Fuji Will Eventually Release a Full Frame Camera

If there has been one company more outspoken than any other on the subject of APS-C sensors vs Full Frame it has been Fujifilm. Because of the insistence of company executives that their X-Trans technology makes their smaller sensor superior to full frame, many fans of the company’s products have been active and vocal supporters of this viewpoint. It has reignited an argument that many had previously considered settled: the merits of full frame vs cropped sensor.

Last week I posted the latest issue of my on-going Street Photo Diary series to my PhotoJournal blog. I had taken those shots in a single session and I felt that they worked well together as a set, however, I have a few more images that I took recently too. They didn’t really fit into the narrative that I was going with, so I thought that I would share them here in a separate post, with a bit more info on how I shot them.
