Camera Porn: Soviet Fed 2 Rangefinder
I posted this on my Designtography site yesterday, but incases you missed it, I'm reposting it here....
I received a very generous and cool present from a good friend of mine for my birthday last year. It's a Soviet Fed 2 range finder camera. My friend is a collector and I've always loved these old Soviet cameras, so I was chuffed to get my hands on one.
It's a beautiful piece of engineering. They really don't make them like they used to. Well, except maybe Leica. It's a solid hunk of steel, and amazingly it seems to work perfectly. Anyway, I thought it would make for some interesting macro shots, so for your viewing pleasure (and no other real reason) here are some closeups of this gorgeous piece of history!
