New Video: London Photo & Video Vlog: A Walk Along the Thames with the Canon R6II
Back at the end of April I was in London for a few days, so as always I took the opportunity to get a few photos and some video while I was there. I didn’t really go very far from our hotel in Southwark, pretty much staying to the south bank, but even here there is plenty to see just walking up and down the Thames. So Join me for a walk along the Thames in London taking in bridges, river traffic, and life by the water, capturing both video and stills with the Canon R6 Mark II.
I also have a Photo Essay on the same subject over on my Photo Journal Blog. Here you can see the full photos from the video and some additional shots that didn’t make the cut!
I hadn’t really set out with anything in mind when I made this but I really liked the way some of the footage turned out so I decided to put it together into a little vlog style video. I really like the first shot - it almost looks like an old shot from the 80s or something. It really is fascinating just walking up and down the Thames.
Video was shot in C-Log3 on the Canon R6II. I processed the shots in Final Cut Pro using Film Convert Nitrate. I actually have a pretty good workflow for this now, so if anyone is interested in a tutorial let me know in the comments below.
