Video: Autumn in the Park - Shot on Sony A6000
As I've mentioned many times on this blog, I really love Autumn. I love the colours and I love the light, and I wanted to capture it in a different way this year, so as well as shooting lots of photos (more on that to come) I set out to shoot some video too. In the centre of Dublin city there is a famous park, called "St. Stephen's Green". It's one of my favourite places in the city. It's not a particularly big park, but it's a lovely combination of trees and walkways, and when viewed from certain angles, looks like you could be somewhere in the countryside, and not in the heart of a city.
Video: Canal Bank Walk - Another Sony A6000 with XAVCs Test
After my first rather unprofessional test of the A6000 with the new XAVC codec last week, I set out to create a better video on Friday. This time I used my good Nikon 24-120 lens and a tripod. Unfortunately I still had a few issues, but they were entirely my own fault. Still, I think it's a nice result, and I was lucky as some interesting things happened while I was filming.
Random Acts of Photography - Daffodil Edition
I've been a bit quiet, photographically speaking, over the last week or two. I've been busy working on some design jobs, so I haven't updated the site here as much as I would like. Anyway, as it's a beautiful spring day here in Dublin, here are some daffodil shots to celebrate the changing of the seasons.
Landing in Dublin Airport at Sunset in Hyperlapse
I was coming back from a week in London on Saturday, and our flight was approaching Dublin at sunset. The view out the window of the plane was amazing with the sun just sitting above the clouds. As we began our descent it looked even more impressive, so I grabbed my iPhone and fired up the hyper lapse app, and recorded our descent through the clouds, and then down until we landed.
A Short Film about Dublin, My Home City
Over the years I’ve accumulated quite a bit of footage of Dublin City and I wanted to do something with it so I began putting this little video together a while ago.
