Apple teased some interesting developments at last week's WWDC that will have a particular impact on photographers. It showed off some impressive scene and face recognition technology running on iOS as well as some new ways to organise your photos. Perhaps the biggest new feature though was one that wasn't really unveiled during the keynote. It snuck into the background of a slide, which got keen observers excited, and was later confirmed to be true. IOS is getting the ability to capture RAW photos, directly from your device’s camera.

It seems to have been a long time since Apple has released a Raw compatibility update for OS X and I was beginning to get a bit worried, but just as I was about to start investigating the issue, a new update has just popped up in the Software Update panel of OS X. 

While yesterday's Apple event didn't contain a huge amount of announcements, there are a couple of things that were announced or released that may be of interest to photographers. There's the obvious introduction of the iPhone SE and the new smaller iPad Pro, but there are a also few updates in the just released El Capitan update that are also important.
