One of the questions I regularly get asked is how to match the in-camera Fuji options when shooting RAW. While most RAW converters offer film simulation modes, and these are pretty close, for some they’re still not good enough. Others regularly contact me asking about how to match other options exactly, like highlight and shadow tone modes and so on.

For a while now there’s been something that I’ve been meaning to try in Capture One that I’ve never gotten around to, and that is to find some colour profiles for Fuji cameras. Unlike Lightroom, Capture One doesn’t include colour profiles for the Fuji film simulation modes. However, it does have a comprehensive colour matching engine, and many people have posted their own matching profiles. 

The creator of Iridient Developer has just released a public beta of a new product. It’s the company’s first Windows application, but it’s not a full version of Iridient Developer. Instead, it’s something that I think is even more interesting. He’s created a DNG Converter specifically for Fuji X-Trans files. 

Despite my reputation as more of a street photographer, I actually love taking pictures of nature too. I have a huge collection of Nature images in my archive, which I'm slowly getting around to organising and getting online. Even when I don't intend taking images, I usually have my camera with me and even simple little things can make nice photos.
