The first memory I have of noticing photography was from when I was a child. In the house where we lived at the time, there was a long narrow hallway, and along that hall were beautiful black and white portraits of our family. Those portraits were taken by my father, and I always remember them, even to this day.

I've been trying to write something about the current coronavirus situation all week, but I didn't know where to start. Life seems so oddly surreal at the moment. I've been trying to keep up some sense of normality and continue to blog and make YouTube content, but it feels weird to be doing such things in the light of what's going on. It feels like we're living in some science fiction movie.

As we start a new year, and end a decade, and I wanted to reflect a little on what has happened in terms of this blog, and my photography over the past ten years. I wasn’t really thinking about it that much, but when looking back through my photo archive, I realise that I did accomplish a lot over the past ten years, and a lot has changed.

I just wanted to write a quick note to apologise for the lack of updates recently. There’s actually been quite a bit going on that I wanted to cover, but I’ve been sick for most of December and the end of November, and so I’ve been unable to keep blogging as much as I would like to.
