I've been spending a bit of time lately practicing the art of Street Photography on the busy streets of Dublin. Since getting the excellent and tiny GF1 I've been able to get some great shots without anyone really noticing. It's amazing the expressions and moments you can capture when you freeze the hectic goings on on a busy street into a single moment in time! Here's just a few of my favorites so far!
I just walked around the corner in Temple Bar and snapped away, my camera at waist level. It wasn't till I got home and uploaded the days work to the computer that I realised I had caught this gem. You would swear this was posed for an Album cover or something.
Waiting for something....or someone!
Looking into the distance on O'Connell Street
Discussing the news of the day at a news stand on Grafton Street
A busy newspaper courier turns onto Kildare street before speeding on his way!
(For anyone wondering about the technical details, these were shot with a Panasonic GF1 with a 20mm Lens and Processed in Aperture using Nik's Silver Efex Pro)
This is just a taster! More to come!
