The moon, peeking out from some angry clouds in the sky over Dublin:
I was looking out the window at the scene and at first I thought that there would be no way I could get a descent photo of this. I'm happy to be proven wrong. Thanks to my new Nikon D700 (more on that soon) I took this shot at ISO 3200 and it came out perfectly with very little noise, which with a tiny bit of noise reduction disappeared to a nice subtle grain.
