Film Candy Three (For Aperture)
I’ve been creating and selling presets for Apple’s Aperture for some time now, and one series in particular has proven very popular. I had called it “Film Candy” as it was inspired by the effect of using old and expired film. The original release was very popular, and I followed it up with a second iteration, which also proved popular. Now, to kick off 2014, I’ve released the third instalment of Film Candy, Film Candy Three.
Film Candy Three is inspired by traditional print and transparency films, and effects such as cross processing and expired film. The presets are not designed to precisely mimic any specific film stock, but instead are artistic interpretations based on the nostalgic feeling and look associated with shooting film.
If you’re an Aperture user you can see more details over on my Aperture Blog website. In the mean time, here are some photos processed with Film Candy Three. (These were taken with a combination of Sony Nex–7 and Fuji XE1)
By the way, I'm still working on bringing these to Lightroom, and I hope to be able to launch the collection soon, so stay tuned.
