Adobe releases major Photoshop Update
It seems to be the season for updates. Hot on the heels of Capture One yesterday, Adobe has announced updates to many applications in its creative suite including a major new version of Photoshop.
The update should be available soon. It's not showing up in my Creative Cloud app yet, but it can take some time for these updates to roll out across the world. Signing out and back in to Creative Cloud can help too sometimes.
The new Photoshop includes some changes and refinements to the user interface, including the ability to create custom toolbars, and better support for touch on windows devices such as the Surface Pro. Photoshop also now also includes support for multiple art boards (like Illustrator) and an improved recent files browser.
It seems like most of the improvements are aimed at designers, but the new toolbars and interface enhancements should benefit everyone.
There's also been improvements to font handling and creative cloud libraries. There's more information and some highlights on the Photoshop website. and for a complete list of improvements there's a detailed list on the Adobe website here.
